Eddie Phillips is best known for his work with The Creation and was the first guitarist to use a violin bow with a guitar. He was one of the figureheads of the new wave of British guitar heroes, and it was reported that Pete Townshend asked him to join The Who as a second guitarist. Apart from being a guitarist, Phillips was also an accomplished songwriter and singer. He helped pen many of The Creation's best known songs, such as "Painter Man" which was a top ten hit.

Woodstock Daze is his first original album for over 10 years and was first released in 2011.
